This Cold War West German Bundesmarine service greatcoat is constructed of dark navy wool in a full-length, double-breasted pattern with a rear half belt, shoulder epaulets, and side pockets. The front is fitted with eight silver-toned anchor buttons, the standard naval insignia used on Bundesmarine uniforms. The interior retains its original Uniform Blitz contract label dated 9/77, marked with NATO Stock No. 8405-12-160-1718, along with a large period-issued inventory stencil on the lining. The coat remains in very good condition, exhibiting light surface lint and minor wear consistent with military service and long-term storage. A classic Cold War Bundesmarine overcoat, it represents the standardized naval dress uniform adopted by West Germany during the late 1970s. This measures at a 44" chest (22" flat across) SC
