WWII US Army Enlisted Men's Khaki Cotton Service Trousers (Chinos) An authentic pair of WWII US Army Enlisted Men's khaki cotton service trousers constructed from durable 8.2 oz. combed cotton twill in official Khaki Shade No. 1. A staple of WWII US Army garrison and tropical/summer dress attire, these trousers feature classic 1940s military pattern tailoring and details. Markings: The interior waistband lining features crisp, repeated period black ink laundry stamps reading H 1878—conforming to official US military identification standards (representing the soldier's surname initial "H" alongside the final four digits of their Army Serial Number). Construction & Details: Built with a button fly, a narrow double-welt coin pocket set below the front right waistband, un-flapped double-welt rear seat pockets, sturdy belt loops, and a brown four-hole melamine waistband button characteristic of mid-to-late war production. Condition: Very good vintage condition. The cotton twill fabric remains sound and firm throughout. Displays light age toning, storage creasing, and scattered water/stain rings on the upper rear seat area consistent with period service use and long-term storage. GE
