A two-piece dessert serving set comprising a knife and a three-pronged fork, presented in a fitted case. The handles are constructed from 800 grade silver, featuring decorative rococo-style repoussé work with scroll, floral, and acanthus leaf motifs, incorporating a vacant oval cartouche to each side. The blades and tines are finished with a gold vermeil wash. The handles are stamped with the mark DL 800. The knife blade is stamped SOLINGEN, marking it as a product of the historic German cutlery centre. The interior of the box lid is stamped with the Italian retail mark ARGENTO 800/000. Weight: 197 g Dimensions: Knife length approx. 25.5 cm, Fork length approx. 21.5 cm (measured against a ruler). Condition: The set is in fair condition with natural tarnish to the silver handles. There is significant wear to the gold vermeil wash on both pieces. The knife blade shows pitting and small areas of surface oxidation. The presentation case exhibits substantial wear, including staining to the silk lining and a frayed internal ribbon.
