This is an Armand Marseille (AM) mold #370 19-inch doll, originating from Germany and produced approximately between 1890 and the late 1930s. The doll features a hand-painted bisque porcelain shoulder-head with an open mouth and four visible porcelain teeth. It has glass "sleep eyes" that open and close, a characteristic trait of this popular model. The body is constructed of stuffed kid leather, with bisque lower arms and hands and leather lower legs, consistent with this mold type. The doll has undergone professional restoration and cleaning, is dressed in new period-appropriate clothing, and wears a mohair wig. Condition reflects careful restoration with some wear typical for age. **Shipping Notice: Due to the delicate nature of the doll's sleep eye mechanism, any shipped doll will arrive with the wig and skull cap removed, and the eyes secured to help minimize the risk of damage during transit. Please expect this if you require shipping. Because of the additional time and care required to prepare the doll for safe shipment, an additional handling fee may apply. These dolls are exceptionally fragile, and while we take the greatest care in packing and securing every item, shipping always carries an inherent risk. By requesting shipping, you acknowledge and accept the possibility of damage that may occur during transit.
