This lot comprises two distinct hand-carved wooden objects representing different cultural traditions. The first item is a decorative pedestal vase crafted from olive wood, characterized by its high-contrast, swirling grain. The vessel features a lathe-turned body with extensive hand-carved relief work. The central bulbous section is decorated with animal motifs, including a camel and birds, set against stylized foliage and flame-like patterns. The flared rim is finished with a gadrooned edge, while the neck and pedestal base exhibit fine vertical fluting. This style of olive wood carving is traditionally associated with the Holy Land region of Israel and Palestine. The second item is a traditional Mexican molinillo, a whisk used for frothing hot chocolate. The item is lathe-turned from a single piece of light-colored hardwood with dark-stained or burnt decorative accents. The head consists of several carved geometric sections and includes four captive rings that rotate freely around the central axis. The rotating rings are inscribed with the uppercase letters MEXICO, CULTURE, and VERVE, identifying it as a contemporary artisanal product.Vase Height: 7.5 inchesMolinillo Length: 12.5 in
