Vintage Italian Inlaid Wooden Music Box

Made in Sorrento, Italy. The marquetry is intricate, with several different types of wood to create the detailed mandolin scene. The music is "Torna a Surriento" (Come Back to Sorrento) composed in 1902 by Ernesto De Curtis. When sung it is a passionate plea for a lover to return to the beautiful town of Sorrento, overlooking the Bay of Naples. A minor scuff on lower right of top.Width: 6.5 inchesHeight: 2.5 inches.The music box is in good overall condition with minor surface wear and light scuffs to the exterior lacquer consistent with handling and use. The interior velvet lining remains clean and intact.
