A large hand-painted ceramic figurine depicting a crested quail, rendered in the traditional Tonala burnished style. The piece is decorated with intricate polychrome motifs, including stylized feathers along the back, cobalt blue floral designs on the sides, and green foliate patterns. The neck and breast are finished with fine blue stippling. The underside bears the hand-painted signature MATEOS MEXICO, indicating production by the Mateos family of artisans in Tonala, Jalisco.
