This oil on canvas painting, titled Dunes, depicts a coastal landscape featuring sand dunes, a weathered picket fence, and seagulls in flight under an expressive, overcast sky. The work is signed Morgan in the lower left corner. The reverse of the frame retains an original retail label identifying the artist as Morgan and the title as Dunes. The painting is presented in a traditional gilt-finished wood frame with a linen-covered liner.24 x 27.75 inches (framed).The painting exhibits stable craquelure, primarily localized to the thickly painted lighter passages of the sky. The frame shows minor surface wear and scattered losses to the gilt finish. The linen liner displays light age-related toning.
