This large original oil on stretched canvas painting, titled Sea Coast, is by German landscape and marine artist Horst Alter. The verso retains two original labels from The W. T. Burger Co. One label provides cataloging details including the title and registry number 35463, while the other provides a biographical summary of the artist.20 x 38 inches (canvas).The painting is in very good condition, showing no visible signs of craquelure, paint loss, or repairs. The wooden frame is in good condition with only minor surface wear and small scuffs consistent with age. The paper dust cover on the reverse is torn and partially missing in several sections.
