6 Year old Mare - 14.2 HH Toffee is a South Steens Mustang with an exceptional mind, kind heart, and willing attitude. Throughout her training, she has consistently met new challenges with curiosity and confidence, making her a joy to work with both on the ground and under saddle. Since coming home, Toffee has been started under saddle, completed multiple camping trips—including a seven-day trip covering more than 50 miles—crossed water, navigated challenging terrain, worked through obstacle courses, been ponied on numerous trail rides, and even traveled to the beach. By now Toffee has logged well over 100 miles on the trail, gaining confidence and experience with every ride. During our beach camping trip, my sister, who is a confident rider but not a professional, rode Toffee, and she handled the experience beautifully. She trailers well, stands quietly for the farrier, and accepts routine care with ease. One of Toffee's greatest accomplishments was proving just how safe and dependable she is. During our seven-day camping trip, my mom, a novice rider, rode and cared for Toffee the entire time. Toffee remained calm, steady, and trustworthy, never offering to buck, bolt, rear, or do anything unsafe. She took excellent care of her rider and showed the kind, forgiving nature that makes her so special. I believe Toffee will make an outstanding family horse. She would be well suited for a confident child or a child riding with an instructor, a dependable trail horse, a safe "mom horse," or an all-around partner. She has the mind and athletic ability to excel in whatever direction her future owner chooses. While she may be small in stature, she has no problem keeping up with the bigger horses on the trail and has the heart to go all day. Toffee is an outstanding example of the Mustang breed. She is intelligent, athletic, willing, and eager to please. I couldn't be prouder of the partner she has become.
