8 Year old Gelding - 15.2 HH Meet Prince Phillip (aka Phillip), a breathtaking 8-year-old gelding with the heart of a champion and the conformation to match. From his flowing mane to his athletic build, Phillip is an eye-catcher who offers a unique blend of quiet demeanor and ready-to-work energy. He gives his heart to everything he does and is eager to partner with you on your next adventure. He is from Conant Creek, WY and has the potential for rodeo, cutting, trail, or whatever you want to try. Rodeo & Arena Experience: Arena Safe: Proven in rodeo environments; stands relatively quiet while people walk around him and remains calm in crowded warm-up pens with other horses. The more places he goes the better he is. Ready to Compete: Took him to the rodeo as my Queen horse at the Malheur County fair. He is soft in the mouth and used to loud speakers and music. Cutting/Roping Potential: Worked with a burro (track and stop) and shows beautiful stops and the beginnings of nice spins. I have thrown ropes off of him and dragged items with him Advanced Moves: Performs roll-backs, pivots, side-passes, 2-tracking, and yields hindquarters with ease. Specialty: Packs a flag confidently at home. Ground Work & Trail: Desensitized: Calm around bags, tarps, plastic bottles, and other noisy objects. Obstacles: Confidently walks on and over bridges, pedestals, teeter-totters, and more. In-hand and under saddle. Basics & More: Leads, ties, is great for the farrier, backs, pivots in-hand, and can be ponied. Trail Proven: Has been out on trails many times and loves the outdoors. He has a sensitive side when it comes to being caught and requires a steady, quiet approach. He is happily learning to come to the sound of a whistle and the promise of a treat. Phillip is an excellent, well-rounded horse ready to step up to the next level.
