A mid-20th century cotton patchwork quilt featuring a central Dresden Plate motif. The design consists of sixteen radiating blades fashioned from an assortment of printed cotton scraps, including small-scale floral, polka dot, and geometric patterns, arranged around a plain white circular centre. The quilt is framed by a wide border of yellow and pink floral print fabric and is worked with dense, hand-stitched square quilting throughout. A contemporary temporary label identifying the piece as twin size is attached to the surface. Condition: The quilt exhibits signs of extensive age and domestic use. There is significant fraying and wear visible along the edges and binding. One patterned blade within the Dresden Plate motif shows notable fabric loss and damage. The piece has a heavily crinkled and textured appearance, typical of vintage textiles that have undergone repeated laundering.
