This antique kitchen cabinet is a two piece utilitarian unit manufactured by The Brantford. Constructed primarily of oak with a honey toned finish, the cabinet features a three door upper hutch joined to a base unit by metal brackets. The upper section contains a central tambour roll top door and two side cupboards. A metal manufacturer plate on the upper door is inscribed with The Brantford. The interior of the hutch is fitted with a swiveling cylindrical metal flour sifter and a vertically ribbed glass dispenser jar held by a metal bracket with a spring lever dispensing mechanism. The base unit is equipped with a pull out white porcelain enamel work surface featuring a blue and white mottled graniteware style decorative edge. Storage in the base includes one wide top drawer, three smaller side drawers, and a large cupboard door. The interior of the base cupboard contains a door mounted wire rack and a pull out wooden shelf. The cabinet retains period correct patinated metal hardware throughout, including cup style drawer pulls, latches, and hinges. The entire unit rests on four metal and wood casters. Dimensions measured against a ruler: Height approx. 67.5 in Width approx. 42 in Depth approx. 25 in. Condition: The oak finish shows wear, scratches, and a dark patina consistent with age and domestic use. The porcelain enamel work surface exhibits significant chipping and loss of the blue and white mottled finish along the edges. The interior metal flour sifter shows surface oxidation and darkening. The patinated metal hardware shows expected surface wear. The cabinet is structurally sound and retains its original fittings. . EXCLUDES CONTENTS
