Religious Periodical Newspaper Booklet. This extremely rare early 19th-century American religious publication, titled The Bethlehem Star (Vol. I, No. 1, dated January 1824), offers exceptional historical appeal for collectors of early American imprints, Christian theology, and antebellum ephemera. Featuring an introductory "Editor's Address" advocating for the spread of Gospel light and Christian literature, this premier issue represents a scarce piece of early American periodical history. Publisher/Printer unknown, dated January 1824, printed on rag paper, marked with issue details on front cover header, measures approximately 4.5 x 7.5 inches. Condition is Fair to Good given its age of over 200 years; displays heavy edge wear with tearing and loss along the upper right margin, page curling, moderate surface foxing, staining, and fold creases, though the primary text remains legible; no major binding losses or severe mildew observed. See photos for close-up details.
