Roger Williams Park Pawtuxet 6-Pc Lot. This fascinating six-piece collection of original 1894 cabinet-style photograph mounted prints documents landmark municipal locations around Providence, Rhode Island. Each image features detailed manuscript inscriptions on the reverse written in ink, dating the set precisely to early 1894. Locations depicted include Betsey Williams Cottage and the Williams Monument at Roger Williams Park Click to open side panel for more information ("Jan. 21, 1894"), Pawtuxet Falls ("Mar. 18, 1894"), the Ore Bed Foundry ("May 30, 94"), and additional scenes of the fountain and grounds at Roger Williams Park ("June 3, 94"). Unbranded/amateur photographer, dated 1894, silver gelatin prints mounted on thick square cardstock boards with rounded corners, hand-titled on reverse in ink, each mount board measures approximately 4.25 x 4.25 inches (photographic image size approx. 3.5 x 3.5 inches). Displays expected signs of age including moderate fading and light age toning consistent with late 19th-century photographic mounts, subtle corner softening, and minor stray ink marks along the front left margin of the Pawtuxet Falls card; no major tears, heavy creases, or board spliting observed.
