Vanner Concentrator Ore Yard 3-Pc. This rare and historically significant three-piece collection of matching turn-of-the-twentieth-century cabinet card photographs documents an active steam-powered Western gold or silver ore concentration mill. The set includes a landmark exterior view of the multi-story timbered mill terraced against a snow-dusted canyon wall with smoking boiler stacks and a tailings flume; a second exterior view detailing the working loading yard, sloped timber ore bins, narrow-gauge mine tracks, and millworkers; and an exceptionally rare interior photograph capturing the timber-framed processing plant in operation, featuring Frue vanner shaking belt concentrators, an amalgamation settling tank, overhead pulley drives, and early incandescent lighting. Unbranded/photographer unknown, c. 1890s–1900s, original silver gelatin/albumen prints mounted on textured light cream cardstock boards, pencil job/negative notations ("67 JJ", "73 JJ", "80 JJ") on the reverse of each mount, overall card dimensions measure approximately 8 x 10 inches each (image size approx. 5 x 7 inches). Displays expected signs of age including faint edge toning, light corner softening, and minor surface handling marks to the mount boards, though the photographic images retain remarkable clarity, rich tonal range, and exceptional contrast; no major tears, severe foxing, or structural creases observed. See photos for close-up details.
