Licensed Tour Guide Trade Card Ephemera. This scarce original turn-of-the-twentieth-century trade card and souvenir checklist was issued by Frank C. Glassbrook, a "Licensed Guide" based at 221 Falls Street opposite the N. Y. C. Depot in Niagara Falls, New York. Featuring a halftone photographic view of the Falls on the front alongside promotional text for carriage tours and "Rooms for Transients," the reverse contains a printed list of prominent local "Points of Interest"—including Goat Island, Horseshoe Falls, Queen Victoria Park, the Cantilever R. R. Bridge, and the "Home of Shredded Wheat Co."—with period pencil checkmarks and hand-written additions indicating a tourist's actual itinerary. Issued for Frank C. Glassbrook (Niagara Falls, NY), estimated c. 1890s–1900s, printed cardstock with rounded corners, marked with local business text and telephone listing "TEL. BELL 385-R", measures approximately 2.5 x 4.25 inches. Displays notable period wear consistent with age and use, including surface staining, foxing spots, minor edge softening, hole punches along the right edge, a small red wax residue mark on the front, and pencil checkmarks/notes on the reverse; structural integrity remains intact with all text fully legible. See photos for close-up details.
