Rameses II Statue Gaddis & Seif. This original early 20th-century real photo postcard (RPPC) illustrates the monumental Statue of Rameses II (19th Dynasty) standing amid the carved stone columns at the Temple of Luxor in Egypt. Published by the famed photographic studio Gaddis & Seif of Luxor—renowned for their early 20th-century archaeological and tourist photography—the reverse features a full handwritten ink travel letter addressed to Madison, Wisconsin describing a Nile trip, paired with an partial postmark. Published by Gaddis & Seif (Luxor, Egypt), c. 1920s, real photo print on cardstock, marked "Copyright by Gaddis & Seif, Luxor" along the divider line and captioned in the lower front negative, measures standard postcard size approximately 3.5 x 5.5 inches. Condition is Good to Very Good posted antique condition; displays expected light edge wear, minor corner rounding, faint surface handling scuffs, and age toning along the reverse, though the photographic image remains remarkably crisp with rich tonal contrast; no severe creases, tears, or major stains observed. See photos for close-up details.
