Publisher's green cloth, spine lettered gilt, top edge gilt, brown endpapers (plain in vol. 3). Provenance: Henry Ward Beecher (bookplate in vols 1 & 2); gift inscription dated Brooklyn, 1867 in vol 3. Henry Ward Beecher's copy, with his bookplates in volumes 1 & 2. Later printing. Condition Offsett from frontis, leaves a bit toned, textblock cracked vol 1, bindings shaken, chipping and tears to spine ends.
