[QUR'AN]. Manuscript on paper, 390 leaves, [North Africa?, likely 19th century] written in Arabic in a naskh script, title and facing page within red and blue decorative borders with diagonal decorative lines spanning the margins, diactritic marks in red and black, yellow-orange roundel verse markers, red block calligraphy for chapter titles, in red morocco envelope binding with gilt borders and scrollwork, page of later manuscript notes in Turkish or Persian at front (detached). Condition Title, first few leaves, and free endpapers detached; leaves evenly toned, worming to margins throughout, several marginal repairs, repair to text area of one leaf, scattered staining, a few ink smudges; some rubbing and minor insect damage to covers, gilt rubbed, headband nearly detached.
