LOCAL PICKUP ONLY > A large heavy-grade tubular metal playground swing frame standing 82" tall and measuring 140" wide across the upper pipe, constructed in the substantial A-frame form associated with older commercial or institutional playground equipment. The frame retains one flexible swing seat with chains, a pair of yellow hand rings suspended by chain, and additional original hanging hardware. Two suspended support rods remain at the left side from a now-lacking glider ~ teeter or flying-rider style playground attachment. At the far right, chains and mounting hardware remain from another missing accessory or swing position. The heavy tubular top beam and widely spread A-frame legs give the structure considerably greater scale and substance than lightweight residential swing sets. Modern commercial playground frames continue to use heavy tubular steel construction, with commercial examples commonly built around 2-3/8" pipe and in-ground installation. Frames of this general A-frame configuration also have a following among mechanics and hobbyists for repurposing as gantry-style lifting structures, including engine removal, truck cab and bed lifting, loading heavy equipment and similar shop or farm applications. Examples are documented using old swing-frame designs with chain hoists or come-alongs. This particular frame is not represented as presently safe or rated for lifting, and any such conversion would require structural repair, reinforcement and competent evaluation before use. CONDITION REPORT > As discovered, not cleaned or altered. Outdoor exposure has produced oxidation and deterioration at the lower portions of the legs. The back right support leg is buckled with significant rust intrusion around 12" above ground level, while the remaining legs also exhibit varying deterioration near their bases. Considering the overall 82" height, the damaged lower sections may offer restoration possibilities through shortening and capping or rebuilding the legs, subject to proper structural assessment. One swing remains intact; several original playground accessories are lacking as detailed above.
