AVAILABLE for SHIPPING or LOCAL PICKUP > Scarce 1989 promotional 45 RPM country single by Jack Vaughn featuring GIRL FROM TENNESSEE, written by Jack Edwin Vaughn and issued by the independent Nashville label STOP HUNGER RECORDS. The white promotional label is marked ~ D J COPY ONLY ~ STEREO ~ DIGITAL MIX ~ INTRO 11 ~ TIME 2:32 ~ catalog number SHR JV 1101 ~ Jack Vaughn Music BMI Publishers ~ copyright 1989. The INTRO 11 notation indicates an approximately 11 second instrumental introduction before the vocal begins, a timing detail commonly provided for radio programmers and disc jockeys. Stop Hunger Records was an independent Nashville country label operating from 1300 Division Street during the late 1980s and early 1990s. The company promoted a roster of regional and independent country artists through national trade publications, including Cash Box, during the same period this record was issued. The D J COPY ONLY designation identifies this example as a promotional pressing distributed for radio airplay and industry use rather than as a standard retail copy. Promotional 45s of this type were typically circulated in much smaller quantities than commercial releases. Jack Vaughn is only sparsely documented in available online discographies and sales records, and GIRL FROM TENNESSEE under catalog number SHR JV 1101 has very little identifiable market or archival presence. That limited surviving documentation suggests this particular Stop Hunger Records promotional issue is considerably scarcer than more commonly encountered commercial country singles from the period. Includes a simple paper record sleeve with no graphics. CONDITION REPORT > Not tested for play ~ Appears to be well preserved.
