AVAILABLE for SHIPPING or LOCAL PICKUP > Elaborate contemporary tabletop picture frame measuring approximately 6 inches square to the pierced openwork outer border, constructed on a metal base and richly decorated with heavy red enamel, gold tone scrolling ornament, floral motifs and numerous inset faux jewels. The pierced border is likewise accented with red and clear faux stones, creating an ornate jeweled presentation with a strong Victorian Revival appearance. The reverse retains the SIXTREES name discreetly impressed into the black fabric covering of the easel support. Sixtrees is a long-established New York decorative accessories firm known particularly for distinctive picture frames and upscale home décor, with designs ranging from traditional and ornate styles to more contemporary presentations. The elaborate metalwork, enamel decoration and jeweled detailing seen here are consistent with the more decorative end of the firm's frame production. Fitted beneath glass is a known authentic antique hand-colored portrait photograph depicting a Victorian era lady in formal dress. The genuine period portrait is especially well complemented by the richly ornamented later Sixtrees frame, producing a particularly decorative and visually substantial presentation piece.
