AVAILABLE for SHIPPING or LOCAL PICKUP > Measuring 18" in total necklace length, with the round medallion measuring a little over 1" in diameter, a vintage Guardian Angel necklace weighing 21.3 grams total. The braided chain is marked 925 ~ ITALY, with an additional 925 mark to the clasp arm. The opposite clasp end is incised PT. The 925 marks identify the chain as sterling silver; the PT mark is not conclusively identified from the available evidence and may relate to plating, manufacturer or another production designation rather than indicating solid platinum. Comparable 925 Italy jewelry carrying a separate PT mark is documented, though published interpretations vary. The chain retains a visible gold tone finish over the sterling, now mellowed by age and tarnish. Suspended from the braided chain is a round Guardian Angel medallion set within an ornate twisted and faceted carrier. The obverse depicts a winged guardian angel beneath the inscription GUARDIAN ANGEL. The reverse reads MY OWN GUARDIAN ANGEL and is marked .999 SILVER, identifying the central medallion itself as fine silver. The decorative outer carrier is unmarked; based on construction and appearance, it may be sterling silver, but no purity mark was observed on the mount itself. CONDITION REPORT > Attractive aged presentation with noticeable tarnish and oxidation to the chain, clasp, bail and medallion mount, together with scattered surface wear consistent with age and use. Gold-tone surface remains visible along portions of the braided chain. Fine silver medallion remains legible on both sides, with expected toning and surface marks.
