LOCAL PICKUP ONLY ~ NO SHIPING > Measures 28-1/2" high x 20-1/4" wide x 21" deep. Estimated weight 300–350 lbs. Circa 1940s–1950s Herring-Hall-Marvin Safe Co., Hamilton, Ohio fire-insulated combination safe, retaining the original gray-green textured painted finish. Door features a particularly attractive Art Deco-style painted HHM shield logo with linear gold decoration at the upper left, together with original Herring-Hall-Marvin lettering below. Heavy floor-safe construction with substantial external hinges, black combination dial and metal operating handle. Flat-bottom design without casters. Interior is fitted with a divided storage arrangement including a key-locking upper compartment with key present, pull-out drawer with brass-tone knob, lower open compartment and full-height storage area. Drawer does not lock and pulls open normally. Working combination is present and will be provided to the successful bidder. Original certification plates identify the safe as S.M.N.A. Specification F1-D, S.M.N.A. Rating 1 Hour Exposure, identification 1Y-33893. Separate Underwriters' Laboratories inspection plates identify SAFE 140089 ~ FIRE CLASSIFICATION C and GROUP 1 RELOCKING DEVICE ~ NO. 1430757. CONDITION REPORT > Working combination lock. Interior compartment key is present. Original painted surface perhaps displays some age and use related scratches, scuffs, oxidation or blemishes. Art Deco HHM shield logo and linear decoration remain clearly visible, again with a degree of age related wear and losses. Interior shows expected wear and oxidation from age and use. Safe opens and closes.
