Fifteen Craftsman combination wrenches in inch sizes, each with a twelve point box end at one end and an open end of the same size at the other. Sizes readable in the photos include 5-16, 3-8, 7-16, 1-2, 5-8, 11-16, 3-4, 13-16, 7-8, 15-16 and 1 inch, with several sizes doubled up in the run. Every wrench carries the raised Craftsman panel on the shank and most show the forged in USA marking. Chrome is dull from use with light surface rust on a few shanks and on the largest box end. The box openings and the open jaws look square with no visible spread, rounding or cracking. A combination wrench earns its keep because the twelve point box end grips a fastener on all six corners and breaks it loose without rounding it, and then the open end lets you spin the nut off quickly. Older American made Craftsman tools carry a following for the forged steel and slim heads. Condition is good. Authenticity and function have not been verified by Crawford Auction Service. Estimated Value: $40 to $60 based on comparable recent sales. Sold as-is. Photos are the most accurate description of this lot. Written descriptions are a guide only and may contain errors.
