Lee Universal Decapping Die 90292 in Red Box

One Lee Precision Universal Decapping Die, part number 90292, in the original red box with the factory instruction sheet. The die body is stamped LEE DECAPPER H2 and wears a hex lock ring. A universal decapper does one job and does it in any caliber. It pushes the spent primer out of a fired case without sizing the neck, so a handloader can deprime dirty brass before tumbling and keep grit and carbon out of an expensive sizing die. Lee rates it for straight and bottleneck cases from 22 through 45 caliber, and because it never touches the case wall it needs no case lube. The decapping pin rides in a collet that lets the pin slip instead of snapping when it meets a crimped or off center flash hole, which is why so many loaders keep one on the bench for military brass. Condition is excellent. The steel is bright with no rust or pitting, the threads are clean and the lock ring turns freely. The box shows light shelf wear with a crease at one corner and the instruction sheet is present and readable. Estimated Value: $10 to $20 from comparable recent sales. Sold as-is.
