Lee 7mm STW Factory Crimp Die 90869

One Lee Factory Crimp Die for the 7mm Shooting Times Westerner, item 90869, in the red Lee flip top box with the printed Lee Factory Crimp Die instruction sheet. This is a single die, not a set, and the die body is stamped 7MM STW. The 7mm STW is an overbore magnum built on the 8mm Remington Magnum case, and it burns a big charge behind a .284 inch bullet. That is exactly the situation where a separate crimp station earns its keep. The collet in this die squeezes the case mouth into the bullet from four sides after seating, so the crimp is square even when case lengths vary, neck tension stays even across a batch, and bullets in the magazine do not get shoved back into the case by recoil. Dies and accessories for the STW are not common and are worth picking up when they turn up. Dies are clean with light surface oil and normal handling marks, threads and lock rings are intact and no rust or galling is visible in the photos. Condition is very good.
