Beautiful hand-knotted Persian Hamadan rug featuring a bold traditional geometric medallion design in rich red, deep navy blue, ivory, pink, green, and golden accent tones. The composition centers on an ivory medallion surrounded by a large stepped red field, contrasting dark blue corner spandrels, intricate floral and geometric motifs, and multiple decorative borders. This strong combination of central medallion, saturated reds and blues, and detailed village-style ornament is characteristic of traditional Hamadan weaving. Measures approximately 30" x 47" including the fringe, making it an attractive smaller scatter rug for an entryway, bedside, sitting area, or layered textile display. The rug shows the charming variations and character associated with hand-knotted construction, with visible wear and variation to the fringe consistent with previous use. See photos for pattern, colors, fringe, dimensions, and overall condition.
