Beautiful hand-knotted Persian-style area rug featuring an intricately detailed traditional floral medallion design in rich shades of deep navy blue, burgundy red, salmon pink, ivory, camel, green, and soft blue. The rug centers on an ornate salmon-toned medallion surrounded by a densely patterned dark indigo field filled with stylized flowers, palmettes, rosettes, vines, and geometric floral motifs. Contrasting ivory corner spandrels lead into an elaborate series of guard borders and a wide burgundy-red main border decorated with repeating floral and foliate designs. The finely detailed pattern and overall composition show strong influence from traditional Persian rug weaving, particularly the floral medallion carpets associated with northwestern Persian traditions such as Tabriz and Bijar. The combination of a central medallion, contrasting corner treatments, dense floral ornament, and layered borders is characteristic of classic Persian carpet design. Measures approximately 80" x 50" (6'8" x 4'2"), not including the fringe. Features ivory-colored fringe at both ends and finished side edges. The rug shows signs of previous household use, including some surface debris/hair and general age-related wear visible in the photos. Colors remain attractive with a richly detailed overall presentation. Exact age, weaving region, fiber composition, and country of origin have not been independently verified. A striking decorative piece for collectors and decorators seeking Persian rugs, Oriental rugs, hand-knotted carpets, traditional wool rugs, medallion rugs, vintage area rugs, Middle Eastern textiles, or richly patterned floor coverings. See photos for design, fringe, reverse construction, condition, and details.
