This collection comprises two separate sets of vintage souvenir miniature photograph snapshots from the early to mid-20th century. The first set features 20 real photo snapshots of Stanley Park in Vancouver, British Columbia, as indicated on the original paper envelope. Published by Coast Publishing Co., the images include scenic views of the Brockton Point Lighthouse, indigenous totem poles, Second Beach, the Seven Sisters trees, the Harding Memorial, and residents of the park zoo, including a bear identified as Trotsky. The second set, titled Der Rhein, includes 12 real photo snapshots (echte Photographien) published by Verlag von Karl Rud. Bremer & Co. of Cologne. This set documents landscapes and architecture along the Rhine River in Germany, with identified scenes including Schloss Stolzenfels, Burg Katz, the town of Boppard, a river view of Cologne (Köln), Ehrenbreitstein Fortress, ruins of Rheinfels and St. Goar, and the Niederwalddenkmal monument. The cards are printed on cardstock with blank versos. Dimensions: approx. W 3.5 in x H 2.5 in (measured against ruler). Condition: The photograph cards are in good vintage condition with minor age-related toning. The Stanley Park paper envelope displays heavy wear, including a missing top flap and edge abrasions. The Rhine River box exhibits light edge wear and a small handwritten price sticker on the cover.
