This lot consists of two vintage souvenir "foto-mignon" sets featuring photographic view cards of Lucerne, Switzerland, and Milan, Italy. The sets comprise miniature photographic prints housed in original cardboard folders. The Lucerne set, titled Luzern & Vierwaldstättersee, is presented in a black textured folder with the title printed in white Fraktur script. The cards depict scenic views of Lake Lucerne and the surrounding Swiss Alps, including landmarks such as the Seebrücke (Lake Bridge), Mount Pilatus, Mount Rigi, and the Schillerstein monument inscribed with F. Schiller. Captions on the reverse are printed in German, for example: Luzern. Seebrücke und Bahnhof gegen die Unterwaldnerberge. The Milan set is contained within a red folder printed with 20 FOTO-MIGNON MILANO and a Visconti family biscione crest. It contains 20 miniature photographic prints of major architectural landmarks including the Duomo di Milano, Castello Sforzesco, Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, the Basilica of Santa Maria delle Grazie, and the Stazione Centrale. The reverse of these cards features multilingual captions in Italian, French, German, and English, such as: MILANO - Stazione Centrale. La Gare Centrale. Der Hauptbahnhof. Principal Station. Based on the architectural details and the vintage automobiles visible in the street scenes, these sets date to the approximately the 1920s to 1950s. Dimensions: Individual cards approx. W 10.5 cm x H 6.5 cm Folders approx. W 11 cm x H 7.5 cm. Condition: Both sets are in good vintage condition. The photographic prints remain clear with strong contrast. There is general age-related toning and yellowing to the card stock, primarily visible along the edges. The cardboard folders exhibit shelf wear including minor scuffing, edge rubbing, and light corner bumping.
