A silver-plated tea and coffee service featuring a melon-lobed Rococo-style design. The collection consists of a tall coffeepot, a teapot, a lidded hot water pot, a cream jug, a sugar bowl, and a waste bowl, all presented on a large rectangular serving tray. Each vessel is designed with a lobed body, ornate scrolling handles, and curved spouts. The pots are fitted with hinged, fluted domed lids topped with finials, and the handles feature heat insulators. The cream jug and sugar bowl are finished with gold-washed interiors. The accompanying tray has rounded corners, two scrolling handles, and a gadrooned border, with the surface decorated with an engraved pattern of scrolling foliage and floral motifs. The underside of the pieces is stamped with the following marks: PRIMROSE PLATE, E.P. COPPER, B.M. MOUNTS, and the pattern number 357. This indicates the items are constructed of electroplated copper with Britannia metal decorative mounts. Measurements: Tray width including handles: approx. 20.5 inches Coffeepot height: approx. 11.5 inches. Condition: The service is in good overall condition with minor surface scratches and light tarnish consistent with age and use. There is no visible loss to the silver plating or evidence of significant dents or repairs.
