An assortment of mid-twentieth century costume jewelry, primarily consisting of earrings, presented in a decorative fabric-covered jewelry box. The jewelry collection features a variety of designs including floral fabric and ribbon clusters, rhinestone-encrusted hoops, starburst patterns, and sequined clusters. Materials include gold-tone and silver-tone base metals, clear and colored glass rhinestones, iridescent aurora borealis stones, faux pearls, and enamel. The earrings utilize both screw-back and clip-on mechanisms. One large oval filigree brooch with a central marbled cabochon is also included. The rectangular box is upholstered in a light blue woven damask fabric with a green, blue, and metallic gold peacock feather motif and a brass-tone metal frame. The interior is lined with light blue satin and features a gold-stamped stylized bird graphic on the underside of the lid. Dimensions (measured against a ruler): L approx. 7.5 in (19 cm) x W approx. 4.25 in (10.8 cm). Condition: The collection is in good vintage condition. The jewelry shows light age-related wear to metal finishes and stones. The box displays minor fraying at the exterior corners and light discoloration to the interior satin lining.
