A two-piece covered dish comprising a lid modelled as a nesting hen and an oval base with a basketweave texture. The item is manufactured from clear glass with a uniform frosted satin finish. The hen lid displays detailed feathering to the body and tail, while the base features a cross-hatched exterior and a rayed design to the underside. Dimensions: 16 cm high, 21.5 cm long (measured from visible tape measure). Condition: The item shows significant signs of wear consistent with age and use. There are several large, jagged chips and flakes to the interior flange rim of the lid. General surface grime and dark residue are trapped within the textured recesses of the frosting.
