This commemorative medal was issued for the 1925 Canadian National Exhibition (CNE) Chorus. Struck in a brass-toned metal, the obverse displays a central lyre motif with the text EXHIBITION CHORUS across stylized banners at the top. The year 1925 is divided as 19 and 25 on either side of the lyre. The design is framed by laurel leaves and features a triangular CNE crest at the bottom point. The reverse is extensively inscribed with details for the exhibition period of August 29th to September 12th. It names Dr. H. A. Fricker as the conductor and John G. Kent as the Managing Director of the Canadian National Exhibition. The piece includes a circular suspension ring at the top. A maker mark for P.W. Ellis is stamped along the bottom edge of the reverse. While visual inspection suggests a brass or bronze composition, reference materials provide an unconfirmed identification as silver (recheck). Approximate dimensions measured from a ruler: Height (including ring): 4.1 cm Width: 3.8 cm. Condition: The medal shows surface wear, oxidation, and tarnish across both faces consistent with age. There is a general darkening of the metal and some loss to the original finish in the high-relief areas. The suspension ring is intact and shows minor wear.
