This group of three hardcover volumes features works by Winston S. Churchill and William Teeling. The collection includes two volumes from Churchill's The Second World War series, published by Houghton Mifflin Company: The Grand Alliance and The Hinge of Fate. Both are octavo-sized works bound in red publisher's cloth with original pictorial dust jackets. The Hinge of Fate includes a black and white photographic frontispiece of Winston S. Churchill and Joseph Stalin with the caption Moscow, August 1942 and a printed facsimile signature of the author. The third volume is Why Britain Prospers by William Teeling, published by The Right Book Club, London, in 1938. This volume is bound in tan boards with a blue cloth spine. The title page identifies the publisher's address as 10 Soho Square, London W.1. The volume features a black and white industrial illustration as a frontispiece. Condition: All volumes are in poor condition and show heavy signs of age and wear. The Churchill dust jackets exhibit extensive tearing, chipping, significant missing sections, and repairs with old adhesive tape. The red cloth bindings show edge wear and fading. Internal pages of the Churchill volumes show foxing and age-toning. The Teeling volume shows heavy soiling and staining to the boards, with significant fraying and material loss to the cloth spine. The binding of the Teeling volume is shaken, and the interior pages show foxing throughout.
