A double-strand necklace composed of graduated simulated pearls. The necklace is secured with a rectangular sterling silver box-style clasp. The clasp face features a decorative pierced filigree design centered with a floral motif. The reverse of the clasp is stamped STERLING alongside an unidentified pictorial maker's mark. Condition: The simulated pearls show significant wear to the coating, with visible peeling and flaking particularly concentrated around the drill holes. The stringing is frayed at the points of connection to the clasp. Heavy green verdigris corrosion is present on the metal components of the clasp and has stained the adjacent thread. The piece requires professional cleaning and restringing.
