This mid-century clear glass pitcher features a bulbous, ten-faceted body that tapers toward the base. The vessel is fitted with silver-plated mounts, including a spout, a high-arched handle, and a hinged lid with a thumbpiece. It contains its original removable cylindrical glass insert, designed to hold ice to chill the contents without dilution. The glass body retains two original gold foil labels: one circular sticker printed with the number 4218 and one rectangular sticker marked MADE IN WESTERN GERMANY. A gold cardstock hangtag is attached to the handle, identifying the mounts as tarnish-resistant silver plate and providing cleaning instructions. Stamped markings on the underside of the lid rim include the initials S W and a partially obscured mark beginning with SILVER. A hand-etched notation reading 818 NM is present near the hinge area. Dimensions measured from visible tape measure: Height approx. 11.5 inches to the top of the thumbpiece Base diameter approx. 8 inches. Condition: The pitcher is in fair to good vintage condition. The silver-plated mounts show significant signs of wear, including heavy pitting, surface scratches, and areas of oxidation, particularly on the handle and lid. The faceted glass body and the internal glass chiller tube are intact, with no visible chips or cracks. The original stickers show minor wear and some adhesive residue is present on the glass.
