- A three-piece mantel set by Sessions comprising a central electric clock and two matching table lamps. - The set is crafted from glazed off-white ceramic with ornate gilt highlights throughout. - The mantel clock features a scalloped, shell-form case with scrolled feet and is decorated with multi-colored floral decals and a central oval vignette of an eighteenth-century style courting couple. - The round clock dial has a cream-colored face with Arabic numerals and is marked Clock Movement by Sessions at the six o'clock position. - It includes black hour and minute hands, a red sweep second hand, and a convex glass cover with a brass-toned metal bezel. - The rear of the clock movement is enclosed by a metal plate stamped Model W, AC 110 V., 60 Cycle, 2.5 Watt, and lists several US patent numbers ranging from 1,935,208 to 2,049,261. - The pair of matching table lamps feature urn-shaped bases with double scrolled gilt handles and central vignettes coordinating with the clock. - Each lamp is set upon a square footed base and is equipped with a standard two-prong electrical cord. Condition: The ceramic bodies of the clock and lamps appear to be in good condition with no visible chips or major cracks. There is significant and widespread wear to the gold-toned gilt accents on all three pieces, especially on the handles and raised edges. The brass-toned bezel and the clock dial show minor surface oxidation and age-related discoloration. The electrical cords are intact but show signs of age-related stiffening and have not been tested for functionality. The lamp shades are missing. The felt padding on the underside of the lamp bases is worn and partially peeling.
