A set of 25 Royal Doulton English fine bone china plates in the Pastorale pattern, number H.5002. This collection, which was in production from approximately 1970 to 1990, consists of eight dinner plates, eight salad plates, eight bread and butter plates, and one additional plate. Each piece features a white glazed ground decorated with a transfer-printed floral garland border of blue, pink, and tan wildflowers with green foliage. The rims are finished with a platinum-toned band. The base of each plate bears a green underglaze backstamp with the Royal Doulton lion and crown crest, the circular maker mark, and the pattern identification. Dimensions measured against a ruler: Dinner plate diameter approx. 27 cm Salad plate diameter approx. 20.3 cm Bread and butter plate diameter approx. 16.5 cm. Condition: The collection is in excellent condition. No chips, cracks, or repairs are visible on any of the pieces. The transfer patterns remain bright and the platinum-toned rims show minimal signs of wear. Light shelf wear may be present on the undersides.
