This lot features two vintage boxed sets from the mid-20th century, comprising a kitchen thermometer collection and a motorized personal care kit. The Westinghouse Thermometer Set, marketed under the Anna May Cornell name, includes two specialized thermometers and accessories. The roast meat thermometer features a red liquid-filled glass tube mounted to a black metal scale plate, with temperature markings for various meats and a "Set Oven 325°" indicator. It is marked "Chaney Mfg. Co., Inc. Springfield, Ohio U.S.A." The accompanying glass tube thermometer is designed for candy and deep-fat frying, marked "Chaney Tru-Temp" with a scale from 100° to 400° F, indicating stages from "Scald Milk" to "Deep Fat Frying." The set is complete with a metal skewer, a wooden ball spacer, and its original illustrated cardboard box. The Maniqueen Motorized Manicure Set is housed in a pink and clear plastic heart-shaped case. It contains a pink plastic motorized handpiece with a power cord, a selection of filing and buffering attachments in a small bag, and a printed instruction card. The original outer cardboard box features a blue and pink lattice pattern and bears the "Waco" trade mark, indicating it was made in Japan. Westinghouse box: approx. 28 cm x 11.5 cm Maniqueen box: approx. 12.7 cm x 9 cm x 6.4 cm Condition: Both sets appear complete and in good vintage condition. The Westinghouse thermometer box shows shelf wear, particularly at the corners and edges, with minor scuffing to the graphic. The thermometers and accessories are well-preserved. The Maniqueen manicure set's outer box exhibits some light staining and age-related wear, while the interior plastic case and mechanical components appear in good condition.
