exceptional antique Chinese cloisonné enamel tripod censer (incense burner) with a matching lid, showcasing the intricate metalworking traditions of the Qing Dynasty (19th century). Dimension: 4"x 5 1/2". The vessel features a classic bulbous, compressed spherical body resting firmly on three short, stubby gilt-bronze feet. The main background enamel is a rich dark green or black, heavily textured with embedded metallic gold flecks or wire scrollwork to create a shimmering aventurine or starry-night effect. The center belly is decorated with a vibrant, hand-enameled garden scene. It features blooming pink and white peonies and chrysanthemums interspersed with stylized green trefoil leaves and delicate vine tendrils.
