A pair of child-sized rustic chairs constructed primarily from split and whole bamboo poles. Each chair features a rectangular backrest and seat comprised of closely set vertical and horizontal bamboo slats. The frames are built with thick, rounded bamboo corner posts and structural supports joined by wooden pins and nails. The wood has a natural, aged honey-brown coloration with variation in tone between the individual stalks. Both chairs show significant signs of age, wear, and exposure. There is widespread splitting, cracking, and surface splintering along the bamboo slats and main frame components. Faint remnants of an old dark finish or stain are visible in the crevices. The structures show some looseness in the joints, and one chair has noticeable weathering, fading, and minor structural losses to the feet and cross-braces.Measure 22.75"H x 13"W x 16"D with seat height of 11.5"tall and 23"H x 14"W x 16"D with seat height of 12.5"tall.
