A finely detailed maritime oil on canvas depicting traditional sailing vessels navigating choppy coastal waters beneath an expansive blue and cloud-filled sky, with small figures, a beached boat, distant shoreline structures, and additional sailboats receding toward the horizon. The work is executed in a traditional Dutch marine painting manner, with careful attention to rigging, sails, atmospheric light, and movement across the water. An indistinct artist signature appears at the lower right. Presented in an ornate gilt molded frame with raised floral, foliate, and scroll decoration.
