Eclectic group of Asian decorative and collectible items including a large glazed ceramic elephant decorated with a colorful patterned saddle cloth, a smaller carved bone elephant figure, a red and black lacquer box with gilt character decoration and tasseled cord, a red lacquer cylindrical covered container with floral and figural decoration, a carved pale green jade plaque mounted into a wood panel, and an illustrated Asian book with color scenes and bilingual text. The large elephant has a repaired tusk and a broken tail, while the smaller bone elephant has a broken tusk. The cylindrical container shows scuffs, scratches, finish wear, and surface losses, and the red and black lacquer box also has scattered scuffs and scratches from use. The jade-mounted wood panel appears to be in good condition overall with expected minor age wear. The illustrated book shows considerable wear from age and handling, including edge wear, creasing, and general deterioration consistent with use. An appealing mixed grouping combining carved, ceramic, lacquered, jade, and printed Asian decorative material.
