Large Chinese domestic pottery vessel of broad basin or vase-bowl form, heavily potted with a deep rounded body, substantial rolled rim, and broad circular foot. The unglazed dark charcoal-gray surface retains prominent concentric wheel marks throughout the interior, while the exterior is comparatively smooth with simple incised horizontal bands emphasizing the vessel’s sturdy, utilitarian profile. Its restrained form and undecorated finish are characteristic of practical household pottery made for storage, preparation, or general domestic use rather than ceremonial display. The underside is unmarked. Condition shows extensive age- and use-related surface wear, scuffs, scratches, abrasions, deposits, discoloration, and scattered small pits, with heavier wear around the rim and base; no major structural break is apparent in the photographs. Similar Chinese pottery bowls continue to appear in general Asian and estate auctions, although the precise age and regional origin of this unmarked example cannot be established from photographs alone. Measures 8.5"H x 18"W.
