Loaded with authentic shop-worn character, this early 20th century industrial tool and hardware tote is constructed of heavy galvanized steel with riveted reinforcement, a hinged lid, stout metal framing, and a utilitarian front flip-toggle latch. The front is prominently marked with the bold original-style stenciled number “546,” outlined in dark paint and giving the box especially strong industrial display appeal. A worn canvas webbing handle is mounted across the top for carrying, while the interior retains a darkened utilitarian finish consistent with prolonged workshop use. The exterior surfaces show extensive scuffs, scratches, abrasions, finish wear, oxidation, scattered rust, paint loss, and some dents, with additional wear and fraying to the handle, all consistent with age, use, and handling and contributing to the rugged original character of the piece. Measures 9.75" H x 12.25" W x 6" D.
