An ornate vintage sterling silver ring featuring a centrally set oval mother of pearl cabochon stone. The elaborate setting showcases detailed silverwork including scrolled volutes at the top, decorative silver beading (granulation) at both top and bottom of the setting, and embossed leaf/feather motifs on either side of the central stone. The shank is a simple tapered band. The piece has an oxidized/antiqued finish that highlights the detailed relief work, giving it a rich vintage aesthetic. The interior of the shank is stamped STERLING; no maker’s mark is clearly visible. Approx face 0.53 x 0.52 in.; central MOP cabochon approx 0.35 x 0.22 in.; ring size 7; weight 3g. Condition: some natural patina and minor surface wear consistent w/ age; oxidized finish intact and highlighting the relief work; MOP cabochon secure in bezel and free of chips or cracks; band solid with no visible bends or splits.
