Large bronze sculpture after Frederic Remington’s 1909 work "Trooper of the Plain." Depicts a Western cavalry trooper riding a galloping horse supported above a naturalistic ground. Mounted on a polished black marble base with an engraved title plaque. Measures approximately 24 inches tall, 22 inches wide and 8 inches deep. This is a later decorative casting, likely late 20th to early 21st century, and is not represented as an original lifetime Remington bronze. No foundry mark or limited-edition number was observed in the provided photographs. Displays minor surface wear and scuffing to the marble base consistent with display. Heavy piece. Please examine all photographs closely for complete condition. If you have any doubt, please attend the preview and examine all photographs closely before bidding. Estimated Auction Value: $500-$700
